The Borage is a native of Mediterranean Europe; historians say that his name derives from the Latin borra that means clears hair, because the whole plant is surrounded by several litltle hairs, such a human hair. Other historians suggest that the name comes from the Arabic word Abu Rashid that means “father of sweat” for the property to make you sweat of the herbal medicine concentrated mainly on its flowers.

There are at least 150 kinds of barroja and about 1500 species, it grows in regions temperate and subtropical, wet and fertile lands, has pink flowers, blue and white.
